Kritsa renovation of wealthy Venetian’s house for Scottish artist.
The house was bursting with character and history. The artist wanted the heavy renovation and structural work to be completed, along with the new electrical and plumbing installations and he would spend many a happy holiday choosing tiles, paint, mosaics etc.. A new roof and ceiling were required and wooden doors and window frames were made. All original and traditional elements were kept such as wide arches, fireplace and niches plus the wooden courtyard door with its peep-hole window.
Once the major work was completed the artist has spent many years “finishing” the house (still an on-going project now he is enjoying his retirement there).
